Wireless printing connects kitchen workflows with flexible workstation printing, helping operators improve labor efficiency while creating opportunities for broader software adoption and hardware expansion

HAMDEN, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 21, 2026-- TransAct Technologies Incorporated (Nasdaq: TACT) today announced the release of BOHA! Wireless Printing, expanding the platform’s ability to help foodservice operators improve productivity, standardize execution and get more value from their technology investment. The new capability allows employees to initiate label printing from supported mobile devices at their work areas, reducing repetitive trips and interruptions so teams can spend more time preparing food safely and consistently.

For TransAct, the release advances BOHA!’s software-led growth strategy by extending the value of its connected applications and creating additional opportunities to expand software adoption and printing infrastructure within customer locations.

One Printer. Unlimited Devices. One Device. Unlimited Printers.

BOHA! Wireless Printing supports unlimited supported devices, such as mobile phones or tablets, accessing a shared printer, while individual mobile devices can access unlimited supported printers. Using compatible Android and iOS devices, employees can select the appropriate configured printer and label format for their task.

This flexibility helps operators organize printing around the needs of individual kitchen stations, share printing resources across teams and add printing capacity as operational requirements grow.

More Productive Stations. Consistent Execution Across Locations.

Wireless printing brings BOHA!’s connected workflows closer to where food preparation happens. Teams can use supported mobile workflows to manage timers, check temperatures and access preparation instructions, then initiate associated label printing without returning to a dedicated terminal to start the print job.

For example, an employee can start and track a preparation timer from a tablet at their station while the associated label prints at the configured printer. In a cooling workflow, temperature checks, timed follow-ups, instructions and labeling can help employees execute the required steps consistently.

By reducing movement and keeping essential information within reach, BOHA! helps operators make better use of labor while maintaining enterprise standards across locations.

“Our focus is to remove the chaos that takes time and attention away from preparing food safely and consistently,” said Tracey Winslow of TransAct Technologies. “Wireless printing helps customers put more of their BOHA! investment to work at each station. Connecting mobile workflows with flexible printing gives operators more ways to improve productivity today and expand their use of the platform as their needs grow.”

The potential productivity value can be significant across a large enterprise. An illustrative scenario of 45 minutes saved per location each day, across 500 locations operating 365 days annually, represents nearly $1 million in annual labor capacity at an assumed hourly wage of $7.25. That time can be redirected toward food preparation, food safety and service. This illustration is not a measured customer result or a projection of cash savings; actual value depends on operating schedules, labor costs, adoption and workflow changes.

Expanding Customer Value and BOHA! Growth Opportunities

Wireless printing gives existing customers additional ways to use BOHA!’s software and hardware across their operations. Customers can extend mobile access to more employees, adopt additional supported workflows and add printing endpoints where dedicated station capacity improves execution.

Supported configurations can incorporate BOHA! Terminal 2, BOHA! WorkStation and Ithaca 9000-series printers, giving operators flexibility to expand their printing infrastructure as their needs evolve.

For TransAct, these capabilities create opportunities to deepen customer relationships through broader application adoption, additional hardware deployments and expansion across customer locations. The release reinforces BOHA!’s role as a connected back-of-house platform that can grow with customers.

Customer Availability

BOHA! Wireless Printing is being deployed through a phased rollout across supported configurations. Compatible Android and iOS devices, supported software and firmware versions, and appropriate local Wi-Fi connectivity are required. Ithaca 9000-series printing is supported in select configurations through compatible BOHA! hardware. Availability should be verified for each location.
