Color Means Business

The power of color in business

"From retail stores to restaurants, TransAct's high quality, inkjet color receipt printer enhances the brand and customer communications. Research proves that color actually improves your business, from boosting the effectiveness of promotions to polishing the halo over your brand and even generating new revenue."
Bart Shuldman, Chairman, President and CEO, TransAct Technologies, Inc.

Adding color to your receipts dramatically increases awareness, redemption and overall business while enhancing your brand. See for yourself:

Download and read the Research Paper "The Power of Color."

Build Your Brand

Adding color to brand your receipts may be the most powerful way to use POS printer technology as a communications vehicle. Displaying your logo and a message in color goes a long way toward aligning the store experience with the brand experience.

Increase Awareness

Researchers discovered that when consumers were given a color receipt (including logo, coupons, messages) compared to similar messaging on a black-and-white receipt, more than 80% of consumers noticed the color receipt message. Proof positive of the powerful pull of color.

Increase Redemption

Awareness is key for success, but you also need customers to act on your color promotion to increase sales. More than twice as many people said they would redeem the coupon when it was in color as opposed to black-and-white. No matter the market or industry sector, color receipts were considered more likely to be redeemed.

Increase Business

Customer loyalty increases when you add color to receipts. Not only does it increase total return visits by an average of 62%, adding color increases the frequency of visits between one and two times a month, depending on store type. Multiply the 62% average monthly increase in visits by average monthly revenue, and see that color is a simple way to generate more income.

Epicentral Software

EPICENTRAL™ Print System, is a groundbreaking software solution empowers casino operators to create promotional coupons and marketing messages... and to print them in real-time at the slot machine.

Epicentral is …

Central to marketing campaigns - Extend campaigns from billboards, ads and radio to printed coupons, Messages and promotions can be delivered directly to the slots as printed coupons - in real-time.

Central to drawings and events - Automatically fill out drawing entries and entries into events. Deliver personalized casino drawing coupons to players, maximizing participation for casino events. Central to entertainment - Fill your showrooms and other venues by offering players entertainment rewards extending the player's stay. Central to carded play - Convert players by promoting to them while they play at the slots. Send your uncarded players coupons with incentives to sign up. Central to food and beverage - Reward players with drink coupons and meal offers to increase the amount of time they stay and play at your casino.

Central to tax forms - Completing tax forms is quick and easy by issuing a personalized form using known player data. The player simply verifies the information and signs their form. Central to imagination - We're always amazed at the creativity of casino operators to find new uses for Epicentral - flexibility is one of its most powerful features.

The Key Components of EPICENTRAL™ …

Coupon Layout Generator
Allows the casino's marketing team to easily design and save any number of coupons or promotions to be used later on the slot floor. Import logos or other graphics onto the coupon, plus create and embed common barcode types, allowing you to track who uses the coupons and the effectiveness of these marketing programs

Campaign Center
Gives casino operators the ability to fully automate the use of Epicentral across the casino floor. Create rules, schedule, automate and manage all real-time promotional campaigns targeted to players while at the slot machine.

Server Manager
Manage your library of promotional coupons and deliver offers to any player on your slot floor. The Epicentral Server Manager will be loaded with the location or IP address of every slot machine on the casino floor, allowing you to target or blanket your message

Epic 950® with ServerPort™
Easily upgrade your Epic 950 with ServerPort to add promotional capabilities to your existing slot machine. TRANSACT's ServerPort device holds the IP address - instead of the printer - as the devise is mounted inside the slot machine. This eliminates any new programming or resetting of the IP address if the printer is removed or changed, allowing casinos to tie the IP address to the slot machine.

Mobile Host
Enables casino hosts to walk the slot floor with a tablet or smartphone and deliver instant promotional coupons to players right at the machine. With Mobile Host, the casino host has a new way to delight patrons on the casino floor, awarding comps without leaving their most important players

Mobile Player
Coupon control is now in the player's hands - literally. This mobile solution enables a player to search and select from promotional offers they've earned, then print them instantly right at the slot machine using their own mobile device. Mobile Player can easily be incorporated into your existing casino mobile app.

Leaderboard
A real-time list of carded players on your slot floor, complete with each player’s stats – from name, player ID and current location to recommended comp limit.

Report Center
Perform detailed analysis of exactly what Epicentral is achieving for you.

An Epic idea.

Easy to use and ultra cost-efficient, EPICENTRAL™:
Works with all existing slot systems and games because it’s separate and distinct from the slot system itself.   Protects your investment in the Epic 950 – no need to change out your printer, simply upgrade the existing Epic 950 printer with ServerPort™.

Allows casinos to easily change out legacy printers by adding the Epic 950 and ServerPort to existing slot machines. Upgrades existing slot machines with the latest in promotional printing.

Casinos will be able to utilize the system to create multiple promotions and incentives to either increase customer time spent on the casino floor or encourage additional visits. In addition, the EPICENTRAL™ Print System supports two-color printing and contains multi-language support for any casinos looking to take advantage of these additional features.

TransAct Technologies Conflict Minerals Policy Statement

As a socially responsible company, TransAct Technologies is concerned for the well-being of people and communities. We conduct business fairly and ethically, respect human rights, comply with laws and regulations, and follow a rigorous Code of Conduct.

In August 2012, the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved the final rule regarding the sourcing of conflict minerals as defined in the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, Section 1502. Under this rule, publicly traded companies must report annually to the SEC the presence of “conflict minerals” originating from Central Africa in either the products they manufacture or contract to manufacture, or use in the production process. Conflict minerals are defined as tin, tungsten, tantalum and gold that are mined in Central Africa (the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and nine adjoining countries: Republic of Congo, Central Africa Republic, South Sudan, Zambia, Angola, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda and Uganda).

TransAct will file the necessary documentation prior to the regulation deadlines. We have initiated a process that meets the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) framework to comply with this regulation. This includes establishing compliance requirements for our direct suppliers regarding conflict minerals, implementing controls and reporting, undertaking appropriate sourcing efforts, and providing our customers the data necessary to facilitate their SEC reporting.

TransAct will align its efforts to the practices established by industry peers – including the Electronics Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC) and Global e-Sustainability Initiative (GeSI) – to enable companies to source conflict-free minerals.

Expectations for Suppliers:
In support of TransAct’s policy on conflict minerals, suppliers are expected to supply materials to TransAct that are “DRC Conflict-Free”. DRC includes the countries of Democratic Republic of Congo, Republic of Congo, Central Africa Republic, South Sudan, Zambia, Angola, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda and Uganda.

Suppliers are expected to adopt policies and management systems with respect to conflict minerals and to require their suppliers to adopt similar policies and systems. TransAct expects suppliers to establish their own due diligence program to ensure conflict-free supply chains.

In the event TransAct determines that a supplier’s efforts to comply with this Policy have been deficient and the supplier fails to cooperate in developing and implementing reasonable remedial steps, TransAct reserves the right to take appropriate actions up to and including discontinuing purchases from the supplier.

Under the definition of “DRC Conflict-Free,” products supplied to TransAct:

  1. Do not contain tantalum, tin, tungsten or gold (3TG) as elements necessary to their production or functionality, or,
  2.  If products supplied to TransAct do contain these minerals, the minerals must originate outside the DRC, come from scrap or recycled sources, or be supplied from smelters that have been validated by an independent private sector party to be conflict-free. Certified conflict-free smelters are validated as compliant to the EICC (Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition) conflict free smelter (CFS) protocol using the CFS Compliant Smelter List. Through the CFS protocol, smelters are audited globally; the list of compliant smelters and refiners is posted at www.conflictfreesmelter.org
TransAct will survey direct suppliers as a part of our conflict minerals due diligence program. Suppliers are expected to respond to survey requests in a timely manner, and with full disclosure, following the specific instructions provided.
