TRANSACT TO SHOWCASE ITS INDUSTRY-LEADING PRINTREX OIL AND GAS PRINTERS AT THE 2015 UNCONVENTIONAL RESOURCES TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE
July 17, 2015
Hamden, CT – July 17, 2015 – TransAct(R) Technologies Incorporated (Nasdaq: TACT), a global leader in market-specific solutions, including printers, terminals, software and other products for transaction-based and other industries, will showcase its leading color printers for the oil and gas industry – the Printrex(R) 920 and Printrex(R) 980 – at the 2015 Unconventional Resources Technology Conference (“URTeC”), to be held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas on July 20-22, 2015. TransAct’s color well-log printers, on display at Booth #112, provide a cost effective solution to the complex work of analyzing both seismic data and oil wells during all phases of exploration and production.
The Printrex 920, the industry’s most innovative product of its kind, was developed specifically for use in the oil field. Crucial information needed for finding oil and gas is captured in clear and detailed color printouts, allowing for accurate, real-time analysis and decision-making at the well site. Designed to withstand the harsh environments of remote locations and truck-based applications, the Printrex 920 utilizes thermal technology which allows it to print in color and black-and-white without ink cartridges or ribbons, dramatically reducing the need for cumbersome supplies. The Printrex 920 also features the same footprint as existing Printrex black-and-white printers, eliminating the need for any retrofit.
The Printrex 980 is the industry’s fastest full-color inkjet printer, printing continuous well logs at the rate of eight inches per second. Thanks to the clarity and resolution of full-color output, data is presented in an accurate and easy-to-read format, allowing for timely analysis and improved efficiency. Designed specifically for use in the oil and gas industry, the Printrex 980 outputs continuous forms and offers operators the industry’s highest reliability and the lowest total cost of ownership.
TransAct Technologies will also be showcasing its Printrex 1242 at URTeC 2015 (Booth #112). As the industry’s fastest 12-inch seismic and well-logging printer, the Printrex 1242 is designed for desktop use and boasts a print speed of 4 inches per second.
