The National Association of Convenience Stores Show is the hub of all things that move and influence the convenience store industry. It is the foremost event in the industry, bringing in major brands and influencers from all around the world for a four-day meet and greet with classes, talks, panels, and networking events as well as opportunities to buy and sell. The bottom line is to help participants grow their bottom lines in order to make the industry bigger and raise all ships within the convenience sphere.

This October 4, for four days from Tuesday to Friday, at the Atlanta, Georgia, World Congress Trade Center, the NACS will convene with an expected 24,000 influential attendees present.

Make Convenience the Future

This year’s theme is “We Can Make Convenience the Future.” The idea is that convenience stores have something to offer that the bigger box stores and supermarket competition do not – namely convenience. Customers enjoy a higher probability of getting what they want when they enter a convenience store, they have less floor to cover to obtain it, and because of lower overhead, convenience stores can offer the item at a more competitive price.

In addition to this, convenience stores can offer every bit as much variety as their larger competitors. They can, for example:

  • Serve as specialty foodservice destinations
  • Offer superior food safety due to greater ease of management
  • Enjoy superior staffing/turnover rates
  • Offer artisan services such as gourmet coffee, desserts and more
  • Incorporate street-side dining with a convenience/time-saving bent

We feel these advantages and others can make convenience outlets into a major threat to their relatively more unwieldy competition, larger retailers. It might require a higher degree of inter-industry cooperation among medium and larger convenience brands, but that’s what NACS is all about!

What NACS Show Attendees Can Expect

In addition to networking opportunities, panels and lectures, more than 1,200 exhibits will be presented and more than 50 sessions will be held. Among the most anticipated participants will be TransAct Technologies at Booth 8560, highlighting BOHA!, a one-stop solution for restaurants and foodservice companies.

BOHA! is a performance-ready platform designed to automate back-of-house operations. It brings the management of inventory, food/equipment temperature monitoring, safety labeling, recalls, procedures, checklists, equipment maintenance and delivery into a single solution.

This, of course, is just one example of the innovations attendees will learn about at this year’s NACS Show. With this and so much more to offer at the 2019 event, it is not to be missed.

Stop by Booth 8560 – Exhibit Hall C to learn what BOHA! can do for you! We look forward to seeing you there!
