JAMES B. STETSON
Senior Vice President and Business Manager

Jim Stetson, Senior Vice President and Business Manager of TransAct Services Group, is responsible for developing and executing TransAct’s
Global Services, Technical Support, and Supplies strategies. He entered this TransAct business management role in 2005.
Stetson has held various TransAct management roles since joining in October 1997. He started as Vice President of Latin American Sales, advanced in 1999 to Senior Vice President Worldwide Sales, and to Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing in 2001.
He joined TransAct in October of 1997 following 2 years as Vice President and General Manager at Gekay Sales and Service, a company serving the transaction electronics industry. Prior to Gekay he was 7 years in various management positions at Mars Electronics International, a division of Mars Incorporated, and 6 years in Sales and Marketing roles at Texas Instruments.
Stetson is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, with a BS in Engineering and specialty in International Affairs; he is fluent in Spanish. He served in the US Navy as a Surface Warfare officer, including multiple international assignments, and final Naval assignment with the Chief of Naval Operations Staff in Washington DC.
Stetson is an active member of the Naval War College foundation, Newport, Rhode Island and resides with his family in Hamden, Connecticut.
