TRANSACT TECHNOLOGIES VP OF GAMING SALES NAMED TO THE GAMING STANDARDS ASSOCIATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS 
 

HAMDEN, CT., March 31, 2008 TransAct Technologies, Incorporated. (Nasdaq:TACT), a global leader in market-specific printers for transaction based industries, today announced that Vice President of Gaming Sales, Brandon Knowles, has been elected to serve on the Gaming Standards Association (GSA) Board of Directors.

The Gaming Standards Association is an international trade association tasked with developing open, industry-developed, communication standards that provide a solution to, or improvement of the communications currently in use. The Association’s global membership is comprised of leading gaming manufacturers, suppliers and operators who work together to ensure continued technological advancements for the gaming industry.

Brandon Knowles has over 20 years of international gaming experience, and has held leading positions with companies such as Mirage Resorts, Aristocrat, Shuffle Master, and Progressive Gaming. In addition to this appointment, he is a member of the Association for Strategic Planning, the National Association of Corporate Directors, and is the TransAct Technologies representative with Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers.
