TRANSACT TECHNOLOGIES ADDS REGIONAL SALES MANAGER AT ITS WORLD GAMING HEADQUARTERS January 12, 2004 - TransAct Technologies Incorporated (NASDAQ: TACT), producer of Ithaca® brand transaction-based printers for customers worldwide, announced that Cathryn Nickum has joined the company as regional sales manager, gaming and video lottery terminal (VLT) sector. Nickum is based in TransAct’s world gaming headquarters in Las Vegas, which is expanding to meet the demands of this fast-growing market sector. Ms. Nickum will work with gaming customers, including key OEMs and casino properties, in Las Vegas and the Southwestern United States. Prior to joining TransAct, Nickum worked with bill validation company JCM selling gaming peripherals through many of the same channels that she will be growing on behalf of TransAct. Nickum is a Las Vegas native and life-long resident who has also worked with gaming companies Atronic and Casino Data Systems. “We’re delighted to have someone with Cathy’s wealth of experience and industry knowledge on the TransAct Technologies team,” said Jon Berkley, vice president and business manager of worldwide gaming.
